Sonoco selects Honeywell OptiVision

Honeywell Industry Solutions, Phoenix, AZ, says that Sonoco has selected Honeywell’s OptiVision® enterprise solution to manage the order-to-invoice business process across its North American paper operations. The project includes centralized order management, global sourcing, scheduling, production management, warehouse management and invoicing at all 19 facilities in Canada, the US and Mexico.

OptiVision will be integrated with Sonoco’s existing PeopleSoft financial system that includes accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger. The system is scheduled for start-up in 2003.

“We selected Honeywell based on OptiVision’s over-all standard product functionality, Honeywell’s experience in implementing the solution and their significant installed base, and the responses we received from Honeywell references contacted,” said Bernie Campbell, Sonoco’s Chief Information Officer.
