9th Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference rescheduled
Stockholm, Sweden - The 9th Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference (NWBC) will now be held Oct. 13-15 in Stockholm, Sweden after fears of the coronavirus spread caused the rescheduling of the event from an earlier March date.
The 9th NWBC will present the latest ideas and developments in biorefinery separation and conversion processes as well as new biobased products from wood biorefinery such as energy, chemicals and materials.
NWBC is a co-operation between RISE in Sweden and VTT in Finland. The event gathers expert speakers from the chemical, energy, pulp and paper industry as well as recognized representatives from the global research community. The 8th NWBC gathered over 200 participants in Helsinki 23-25 October 2018.
As well as conference papers presented, delegates will have the opportunity to visit LignoCity and a site visit to RISE’s lignin plant in Bäckhammar. RISE LignoDemo can produce up to 8 000 t/y of high-quality kraft lignin as a source for biofuels, chemicals and materials. The program includes presentations by innovation companies Re:newcell, RenCom and Lixea and the LignoCity 2.0 project. This is a whole-day tour with bus trip from Stockholm.
A conference dinner will be held at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm’s Old Town.
