Feltest DigiMicro offers immediate inspection facility

Feltest Equipment BV, Eerbeek, The Netherlands, says its DigiMicro is a very small digital microscope which can easily be taken anywhere for a detailed study of all types of surfaces. The 3-in. colour display provides sharp, well-illuminated pictures using built-in LEDs to assure optimal lighting under all circumstances.

The DigiMicro can be used for checking numerous points during a machine stop including: forming fabric wear by looking at the abrasion of individual yarns; wear burrs (or beards) on the fabric caused by static elements; contaminants blocking the fabric dewatering channels; seam and seam flap inspection on press felts; wear patterns on doctor and creping blades;

The DigiMicro comes standard with software for the accurate measurement of distances, areas, angles and radii of enlarged photographed objects. Images can easily be saved or e-mailed to colleagues or suppliers for a detailed technical discussion.

The DigiMicro has its own colour display, so it isn’t necessary to take a laptop computer to the wet and slippery paper machine. DigiMicro specifications: magnifications approx. 20x and 200x (optical), up to 500x (digital); image sensor 5 megapixel CMOS; resolutions 12 M, 9M, 5M, 3M, 1.3M and VGA; frame rate (video) 30 fps; lighting eight white LEDs; memory microSD card (up to 32 GB); connection to PC USB 2.0; battery 3.7-v Li-ion rechargeable battery; battery charger 100-240v input, EU wall plug; dimensions 130x103x29 mm; weight 0.2 kg (incl. battery); software Windows XP and up.
