Fifth Valmet tissue line to Papel San Francisco, Mexico

Valmet will supply an Advantage DCT 100TS tissue machine to Papel San Francisco’smill in Mexicali, Mexico. Start-up is planned for 3Q20.

The new line will meetPapel San Francisco’s need fornew capacity for standard tissue products. Valmet has previously delivered four tissuemachines to the company.Three Advantage DCT machines started up in 2006, 2009and 2018. As well, Papel SanFrancisco was the first to startup an Advantage NTT line in2013 to meet the demand fortextured tissue.

Papel San Francisco startedup its first tissue machine in1980 and now operates six machines with a capacity of 180kt/y.

The new tissue machinewill have a width of 2.8 m anda design speed of 2200 m/min.It will add 30 kt/y of tissuepaper to the current production of toilet tissue, kitchentowels and napkins.

The delivery comprises anAdvantage DCT 100TS tissuemachine equipped with an OptiFlo headbox and cast alloyYankee cylinder together withthe well-proven Advantage tissue technology including ViscoNip press, AirCap hood andWetDust dust system.
