BASF has water treatment products

Chemicals company BASF has a number of products aimed at water quality management. Amongst them are:

Zetag® flocculants. Cationic polyacrylamide flocculants have been used for many years in sludge dewatering. Optimizing the dewatered biosolids is essential to maintain the sustainability and efficiency of the process. Higher cake solids reduce the energy required to transport and dispose of them in a landfill. If the cake is dry enough, it can be burnt as a fuel to generate energy. BASF says its comprehensive range of Zetag flocculants offers solid-liquid separation which is tailored, cost-effective and efficient.

Magnafloc® LT flocculant and coagulant technology. Products in this range of organic coagulants and high molecular weight flocculants can be used for a wide range of solid/liquid separation situations. The flocculants enable efficient and cost-effective effluent treatment while the coagulants can be used in more demanding processes such as color removal. Many of the Magnafloc LT products are approved for use in drinking water and sugar applications.
