Menges roller completes multi-million dollar expansion; buys Componex
Oklahoma City, OK-based Maxcess International, Inc. said its newly acquired Menges Roller Co., Wauconda, IL, has completed a multi-million dollar expansion which doubled its capacity for manufacturing precision rollers while installing state-of-the-art new equipment.
“This expansion will allow us to expand our year-over-year growth, while keeping our high standing in the commercial manufacture of rollers and coverings for the converting, steel, packaging, plastics and other industrial uses of large rolls,” said Garrett Rausch, director of engineering and manufacturing for Menges Roller.
The expansion features a state-ofthe- art lathe which enables the company to manufacture rolls up to 58 inches in diameter and 275 inches in length with live tooling and three-axis machining capabilities.
Maxcess acquired Menges Roller in late 2017 to broaden its precision roll offering while complementing its sister brands of Webex and Valley Roller.
• The latest Maxcess acquisition is that of Componex, Edgerton, WI, which will add its WINertia™ line of deadshaft idlers to the Maxcess roll offering. Componex makes components for the web-handling industry.
