Bw papersystems sells 50th eCon sheeter

Phillips, WI-based BW Papersystems recently sold the 50th eCon sheeter to a large paper mill in India. The eCon was introduced in 2014 and, with its special design approach, high quality and low price, it has been a successful addition to the BW Papersystems range of sheeting solutions. Installations include 16 in the USA, 14 in Latin America, 12 in Europe, one in Australia and seven in Asia.

The eCon sheeter is supplied in two main configurations offering features required for high-quality sheeting. Several key options enhance the two-web and four-web configurations. It features the MarquipWardUnited cross-cut knife technology, which offers on-machine cross-cut knife sharpening, low power consumption and up to 1,000 gsm crosscut knife capacity. The eCon is 1650- mm (65-in.) wide and has a maximum speed of 300 m/min.

Advanced design techniques provide a high-quality, simple-to-use, reliable machine for general converters, folding carton printers and board mills alike.
