IBS adds PMS S ruby HP shower nozzles to line-up
IBS has added to its paper industry system offerings the PMS HP shower-pipe ruby nozzle S2 which is designed to reduce water consumption.
PMS, which recently became a subsidiary of IBS, says its new, patented S2 shower pipe ruby nozzle is the first high-pressure double-jet nozzle.
It is designed to reduce water consumption while delivering higher cleaning efficiency and is available for high-pressure shower pipes with threaded nozzle holders M30 x 1.5 or M32 x 1.5 with other thread types being available.
PMS also designs and manufactures other edge-trimming and tail-cutter systems.
• PMS trim and tail-cutter ruby nozzles ensure safe cutting of the paper web before the press section. The high jet quality delivers a safe and regular cut; fibre mist is avoided and cost-intensive sheet breaks are eliminated. PMS supplies single-, double- and triplejet nozzles in either plain 316 TI stainless steel or in stainless steel with an anti-stick coating.
SafeJet nozzles have beveled tips in order to avoid possible water drips clashing with the nozzle jet. Standard PMS nozzles have metric threads and are equipped with O-ring seals to avoid nozzle plugging. No sealing tape is required on trim nozzles. Special types are available.
• The PMS SuperTrim XS slim-line edge trimming system was developed to meet the specific requirements of modern paper machines. The basic model, SuperTrim XS, is a straightforward version equipped with all necessary functions and can also be mounted as a double system.
• PMS says the TPS highpressure pump system has been designed especially to support its edge trimming systems and tail cutter nozzles. Usually one pump unit in operation while a second one is on stand-by. The system will be configured according to the data of the relevant paper machine to a flow volume of approx. 2-10L/min, with an average power consumption of less than 1.1kW and a primary pressure of max. 70Bar. The pump has two-way pre-filtration and a storage tank of about 170L.
