BASF Ansilex aids coating properties

BASF Corp, with US headquarters in Florham Park, NJ, says its Ansilex® 93 calcined kaolin has high brightness with fine particle size and its unique coating morphology (bulk and porosity) enhances aesthetics and printability. It is designed to improve opacity, brightness, smoothness, ink receptivity, blister resistance, glueability, binder migration and printability. As a paper filler, Ansilex 93 can also impart cost-effective opacity and brightness in wood free and mechanical pulp furnishes.

Typical properties include: GE brightness 92.7%; average particle size 88% <2 m; pH level 7.
