SPM offers Intellinova Parallel EN to monitor rotating machinery
SPM Instrument, Strängnäs, Sweden, has announced another development in the Intellinova suite of systems for continuous monitoring of rotating machinery — the high-performance Intellinova Parallel EN for the on-line condition monitoring of equipment with high availability demands.
Intellinova Parallel EN is suited for applications where a critical success factor is the capacity to complete the required measurement within a very limited timeframe, e.g. due to short process cycles.
With parallel and synchronous measurement capability on up to 16 channels, Intellinova Parallel EN is designed for applications like press nips, winders or lifting and hoisting equipment such as cranes or drop sections.
Its parallel-processing capability lets relevant events be captured without delay which makes the system a highly efficient solution where machine fault development times may be short.
Intellinova Parallel EN uses the latest digital technology for monitoring vibration, gear and bearing condition, and lubrication – including the company’s HD ENV® (to detect gear and bearing faults) and SPM HD® (for shock pulse diagnosis of rolling element bearings). These technologies forewarn about deteriorating machine conditions, capturing the earliest signs of gear and bearing damage in time to optimize maintenance plans.
Sixteen synchronous channels for vibration and/or shock pulse measurement and eight RPM channels can be used for data acquisition on machinery in a very wide range of operating speeds (from below 0.1 rpm), with complex drives or with variable operating conditions. Digital, analog and rpm inputs can be used for event-triggered measurements, while the four status outputs can be set up to handle alarm indication. Wireless solutions are available.
SPM has also released Condmaster Ruby 2018 software to support the Intellinova Parallel EN system.
