Solenis ups prices

Wilmington, DE-based Solenis has increased prices on its process chemicals for pulp and paper manufacturing as well as its polyacrylamide (PAM) products for industrial water treatment in Asia Pacific. There was a 5-10% increase on selected process chemicals and PAMs while there were varying increases for different products and countries where there had been significant local currency devaluation.

“Increasing costs associated with key raw material, labor, transportation and production are driving this price increase,” said Charles Robinson, SVP, Pulp and Paper.

As well, Solenis increased prices on all its polymer chemical product lines across the EMEA region. The prices of emulsion and powder polymer products increased by up to €0.10/kg, varying by product and country. “

“These increases are necessary due to the significant increase in key raw material costs such as propylene, naphtha and acrylonitrile, combined with other inflationary cost pressures associated with energy and transportation. We are unable to absorb the impact of the increased costs that we are currently experiencing but we will continue to work in partnership with our customers to help mitigate the increases,” said Francois Proudhon, Solenis’s VP EMEA, Industrial Water Technologies.
