Fibria intermodal terminal to handle pulp from Três Lagoas

Fibria, a Brazilian eucalyptus pulp producer, will build an intermodal terminal in Aparecida do Taboado (MS) to handle the flow of its new pulp line in Três Lagoas (MS) to Macuco terminal, in the port of Santos (SP), from where it will be exported to customers in Asia, Europe and the United States.

The work is expected to be completed by July 2017. Integrating road, rail and port transport, the intermodal terminal will have the capacity to ship 1.95 million tonnes of pulp per year (Mt/y).

Considered one of the country’s largest private investments focused on exports, Fibria’s new production line in Três Lagoas is expected to start operation in 4Q17 and increase capacity from 1.95 to 3.25 Mt/y.
